Help Wanted.

Volunteers are essential to the success of Cedar Mill Elementary and include everything from Art Literacy, chaperoning field trips, cafeteria support, OBOB, picture day, library support & more.

All volunteers need to first complete an application and background check to create a profile in the district-wide Volunteer Management System. Details about how to sign up in the new Raptor system and frequently asked questions can be found on our volunteer page.

Let’s Eat. Free Meals for All.

Starting this school year, all BSD students will be eligible to receive one free breakfast and one free lunch at school daily.

Families do not have to apply, and there are no income requirements. This change is due, in part, to more generous eligibility requirements at the federal level and more funding through the state’s Student Success Act. Research indicates that universal free meals improve student health and attendance in addition to reducing bullying and behavioral issues.

Student meals include an entree, sides and a milk. Students must take the entire meal to be eligible for the no-cost option; students who only opt for milk do not qualify for free milk. This is a federal requirement meant to encourage students to eat a well-balanced, school-made meal.

The district will continue to charge for à la carte items such as milk, second entrees and snack items.

School menus can be found on the Beaverton School District site.

After School.

Whether you’re looking for after-school childcare or a fun activity, there are several options available at the school:

  • Student Stop is a locally run organization providing daily after-school care at the school. Learn more and register your student at https://thestudentstop.org/

  • The PTC arranges several programs each season for families wanting an extracurricular activity for their student. These have previously included Rec Tennis, Yoga Playgrounds, and Play.Fit.Fun. Once confirmed, families can register directly with the provider. Details about the current offerings will be communicated via ParentSquare.
