The PTC sponsors a variety of fun and educational activities for students to supplement learning and build our community.

School Supplies
The PTC provides the majority of school supplies for the school, students, and teachers. Parents are provided with a very limited list of supplies to purchase for their student(s) at the beginning of the school year due to this program.

Lapping Lumberjacks
Before-school running club open to all students. Tuesdays & Thursday mornings starting at 7:40 in the fall and spring. Students earn charms at mileage milestones and a medal upon completion of a marathon. Learn more >

Community Events
From Movie Nights to Game Nights to the first week of school Welcome Coffees, these events provide an opportunity for parents & families to meet each other, and build community.

Staff Support
The PTC provides a stipend to each teacher at Cedar Mill that supplements their district-provided budget.

Field Trips
The PTC provides funding for classes to take field trips throughout the school year including plays, museums, and other activities to complement the classroom curriculum.

5th Grade Send-off
This end of the year celebration for departing 5th graders is a highlight for the students.

Spring Carnival
Community social event free to families. Often features games, bouncy houses, food carts, and more.

Art Night
An evening event to spotlight a featured artist and student work.

Science Fair
Showcasing the hard work, inquiry, and exploration of our Cedar Mill students, the annual Science Fair takes place in the Spring. Learn more >

Clothes for Kids
Clothes for Kids is a district-run, volunteer-supported program that provides free clothing for students (grades K-12) from families with limited income. The PTC supports this effort with a cash donation each year and coordinating clothes donations from the school.

Art Literacy
PTC-run program where volunteers teach a monthly art lesson in classrooms. Featured artists include Joan Miro and Jean-Michel Basquiat.

Garden & Grounds Maintenance
Parent/educator/student group that maintains the grounds and garden at school.

Green Team
Parent/educator/student group that works to implement ecologically sound practices at school.
